Sage+Archer releases the 4th of its 5 new features for DOOH ad formats, introducing the Q-spot for the effective use of QR-codes in DOOH.

About the Q-spot
The Q-spot is a pre-built design where brands can include a QR-code (quick response) in their DOOH creative, enabling consumers to respond to their brand messaging by easily scanning the code. “The QR-code has had a resurgence, and we receive many questions about their usage on digital screens particularly where marketers have a longer 8-10 seconds slot”, says Martine Hammink, Head of Sage+Archer’s Creative Studio, “Responding to this interest, together with our clients and Exterion Media, we researched the best possible way to incorporate and position a QR-code in this environment”.

With a QR code incorporated into a DOOH screen, marketers can build direct connections with consumers, providing them more information, instantaneously. We know location and messaging are key to a brand’s success, and we can now both increase and demonstrate engagement and response by using QR-codes, particularly effective for offering the consumer discounts or a level of personalisation or exclusivity.
The new formats are tested and approved by Exterion Media (Global). To take advantage of these new features, marketers just select a pre-built template with their preferred layout. You can also request a tailored specification sheet to add branded content, such as an HTML5 template, or Photoshop files. Sage+Archer’s Creative Studio are available to support marketers with design and technical input when building their DOOH creative.
