Decathlon engaged marathon runners using localised advertising around the city and the marathon route, building anticipation with a dynamic creative counting down to the event.
Decathlon dynamic countdown maximised hyper-local targeting
Decathlon’s objective was to draw athletes with their ads throughout a busy and relevant weekend of the Rotterdam Marathon. As well as targeting the marathon route, they deployed local advertising in proximity to their stores. Hereby, they raised awareness of their location and driving footfall to store.
Sage+Archer’s hyper-local targeting capabilities, and POI generator enabled Decathlon to plan their campaign with pin-point accuracy to these locations. Our Creative Studio also supported them in the build of dynamic creative, showing a real-time countdown to the start of the marathon.
